We were lucky enough to have our dream wedding in one of the most romantic cities in the world: Prague, Czech Republic. My husband is Czech, but my family is Bolivian-English-American, so we had about 100 of our guests from over 25 countries flying in for the celebration. Planning a wedding from across the Atlantic Ocean can be a daunting task, but our hardworking wedding coordinator and brilliant group of vendors made it possible to bring our vision to life.

My husband and I met one summer in Montpellier in the south of France when we were just teenagers. So naturally, we decided to make the romantic, ethereal feeling of young, summer love the centerpiece of our wedding. We used ivory, champagne and soft gradations of rose to complement the beautiful baroque church where our ceremony took place and the gorgeous palace where we had our cocktail hour and reception. My husband is a violinist, so we knew from the start that music would be one of the most important elements of our wedding. Our ceremony featured a 40-piece orchestra, an organ, a soprano and a choir, which all together made the atmosphere truly magical. It was even more special that most of the musicians were close friends of ours. Later on in the evening, a string quartet serenaded us during our four-course dinner, a 12-piece band welcomed our guests onto the dance floor, and a DJ kept us on our feet until two in the morning. For our first dance, 12 of our cellist friends performed a classical version of La Vie en Rose, and as a surprise, my husband performed a piece for me as part of his toast.

Our wedding was the best day of our lives and one we will look back on with a smile on our face and love in our hearts for years to come.
